9/11 - Five Years Later

It's been five years since this awful event and the governments of the world still make life miserable for everyone, waging wars, perpetuating poverty, doing everything they can to destroy hope, and existing in insular, greedly little cliques whose only motivation is their own petty needs.

It's also a testament to the goodness and tenacity of humanity that, in spite of our governments, we still survive and manage to remain happy and hopeful.

We should live every day like it's September 12th, when everyone came together with a shared purpose of helping those who had suffered so much. We should never forget that we are capable of such a gracious and caring spirit.

In spite of our governments, that is.
